Define State Requirements

4.1

Click the Menu button, then Underwriting from the Administration list, then State Requirements to display the State Requirements window.

4.2

Select the desired carrier and state from the drop-downs to display the corresponding current requirements profile.

4.3

Click Edit to display the State Requirement window.

4.4

Specify when the requirements become effective in the Effective Date field. Enter the date directly in the field in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon and set the date using the date picker tool.

Define medical stop loss requirements as follows

Minimum Specific Deductible
The minimum deductible amount required by the state.
Minimum Specific Deductible Percentage
The minimum deductible percentage required by the state.
Minimum Aggregate Max Liability
Minimum aggregate maximum liability required by the state.
Minimum No of Lives
Minimum number of lives required by the state.
Aggregate Deductible Banded
Check Yes if aggregate deductibles must be banded. Otherwise check No.
Minimum Ag Corridor
The minimum aggregate corridor required by the state.
Minimum Annual Attachment Point
The minimum annual attachment point required by the state.

Define medical stop loss state assessment requirements as follows

Percentage
Stop loss state assessment fee as a percentage.
Fee
Stop loss state assessment fee as a dollar amount.

Define medical stop loss small group requirements as follows

Minimum No of Lives
Minimum number of lives required by the state.
Minimum Aggregate Corridor
The minimum aggregate corridor required by the state.
Minimum Annual Attachment Point
The minimum annual attachment point required by the state.
Amount Per Employee Per Month
The minimum monthly amount per employee required by the state.
Amount Per Member Per Month
The minimum monthly amount per member required by the state.

Define group term life requirements as follows

Minimum No of Lives

Minimum number of lives required by the state.
