Allocate to a Claim Refund

Create a claim refund allocation when you need to apply some or all of the cash receipt toward a claim refund.

If necessary, search for the receipt you want to allocate.

Click the desired receipt to displays its profile.

Click New Allocation, then choose Claim Refund to display the Claim Refund window.

Click ... to the right of Treaty to display the Treaties window. Check the box next to the desired treaty then click OK.

Specify the remaining claim refund information as follows.

Description
State the reason for the claim refund here.
Date
Specify the date of the claim refund here. Defaults to today's date. Enter a new date directly into the field in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon and specify the date using the date picker tool.
Suspense
Suspense allocation amount for the selected treaty. Calculated by ESL Office. You cannot edit this field.
Amount
Claim refund amount.

Click Select Policy and locate the desired policy from the Select Policy window.

To search by policyholder, put some or all of the policyholder name here.
B
To search by policy number, enter some or all of the number here.

To search by effective date, enter date range in these fields. Enter the date directly in the field in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon and specify the date using the date picker tool.

Click to run the search.

Check these boxes to modify your search parameters as follows:

Anywhere In Name
Returns matches if your search text appears anywhere in the policyholder name. Leaving this box clear only returns results that begin with your search text.
Include Former Name
Check to include any former names the policy might have in your search results.
Include Affiliates
Check to include any affiliates as part of your search results.
Active Policies
Check to limit your search to active policies only.

Search results appear here. Check the box next to the policy you want to use, then Click OK.

Click Save to create the allocation and close the Claim Refund window.
