Decline to Quote a Stop Loss Submission

Search the desired medical stop loss quote.

Click the desired quote to display its profile.

Click Tasks and choose Decline to Quote to display the Declination window.

Document the declination as follows

Send To

Who you are sending the declination to. By default populates with the underwriting contact. If you want to change the recipient, clear the field and begin typing the new desired recipient. As you start typing, contacts matching your entry appear in a drop-down list. Select the desired recipient from the list. If there is no match, you can manually complete the Send To name and email address in the field.

CC
Who you want to carbon copy the declination to. Begin typing the recipient name in the field, and ESL Office will search in real time for matches. Select the desired recipient from the list. You can only specify recipients who are already in the system. See Contact Management for more information.
From
Who is sending the declination. Defaults to the currently logged in user. If you want to change the sender, clear the field and begin typing the new desired sender. As you start typing, contacts matching your entry appear in a drop-down list. Select the desired sender from the list. If there is no match, you can manually complete the From name and email address in the field.
CC Sent From
Move the slider to Yes if you want the sender to receive a blind carbon copy of the email.
Subject
Email subject goes here. Defaults to the submission account name and effective submission date.
Declination Reason(s)

Declination reasons appear here. Tick or clear the check box by each item to include or exclude it from the declination reasons.

If you want to add a custom declination reason, click the New Declination Reason button, enter the required information in the field that appears in the Declination Reason(s) box, then click Add. If you later want to disable the declination, clear the box to the left of the declination reason.

Click Next to view a preview of the email.

A

Takes you to the previous window where you can edit email information.

B

Sends the email and adds a facsimile of the email and letter to the journal.

C

Email body preview appears here. The preview is generated from a coded template registered with ESL office and is not editable from this window. See coding documents for more information.

Click Send. ESL Office sends the email and adds a facsimile of the message to the journal.
