Edit a Claim Submission

Click the desired policy to view its summary information.

Click the Claims button.

If necessary, click the Policy Summary sub tab.

Use the drop-down to select which submission you want to view. The drop-down shows an overview for each submission. Click All to view a composite summary of all submissions. When you select a specific submission, the Policy Summary sub tab changes to Claim Summary / Submission, and an edit button appears to let you modify submission information.

Click Edit to display the Aggregate Claim Submission window for the claim submission.

Click Delete to delete the submission, or update submission information as follows. Fields highlighted yellow are calculated by ESL Office and cannot be edited.

Policy
The policy the submission pertains to. You cannot edit this field.
Contract Basis
Policy contract basis. Set by ESL Office.
Submission
Check the box corresponding to the submission type.
Received Date
When the submission was received. Enter the date directly in the field in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon and set the date using the date picker tool.
Created
Who created the submission and when. Populated by ESL Office.
Gross Claim Paid Year-To-Date
Enter gross claim paid amount for the current year to date here.
Less: Refunds and Voids
Enter refund and void amount on the claim here.
Pended
Enter pended amount on the claim here.
Paid Claims
Amount paid on claims. Calculated and populated by ESL Office.
Less: Ineligible Charges
Enter ineligible charge amounts on the claim here.
Excess of Loss Limit
Enter excess loss limit amount here.
Net Claim
Net claim amount. Calculated and populated by ESL Office.
Year-To-Date Attachment Point
Enter the attachment point as of the current year to date here.
Minimum Annual Attachment Point To-Date
Enter the minimum attachment point as of the current year to date here.
Excess of Attachment Point
Attachment point excess displays here. Calculated by ESL Office.
Less: Previous Reimbursements
Enter any previous reimbursement amount here.
Excess Claim (Amount Requested)
Excess claim amount displays here. Populated by ESL Office.
Current Reserve
Enter the current policy reserve here.
Update Reserve

If you want to update the policy reserve, enter the new reserve amount here, then click the button next to the following field and specify the reason for the update from the Select Reason window.

Manager Approval Required
Check Yes or No as appropriate.
Legal Complaint
Check Yes if a legal complaint exists for the claim. Otherwise check No.
Litigation
Check Yes if the claim is in litigation. Otherwise check No.
On-site Audit
Check Yes if the audit for the claim is on site. Otherwise check No.
Assigned Auditor
Click the button and search for and select the desired auditor from the Auditor Search window.
Assignment Date
When the claim was assigned to the auditor. Enter the date directly in the field in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon and set the date using the date picker tool.
Status
Claim status. Populated by ESL Office.
